Fred Combined Hunger with the Desire to Eat and Today Recruits Talents for Riot

When Fred says that he combined hunger with the desire to eat, he means that he is fortunately part of a portion today

privileged group of gamers who managed to enter this market and turn a passion into a profession as well.

A gamer since he was a boy - a strong influence from his father and brother - Fred "Mundico" Machado de Campos, five years ago, came across the opportunity to become a supplier for Riot Games, today one of the companies with one of the largest professional operations of eSports in Brazil.

His first experience with Riot was through work as a head hunter at Hub Talent, which at the time was the recruitment agency that supported the selection processes for Riot do Brasil.

When the Talent structure (as Riot calls its human resources department) began to grow in its challenges, Fred asked if he could participate in a selection process for a newly opened Recruiter position.

Tip for those who want to work with games

First. Don't be scared if you're not a gamer. This ecosystem is very open to those arriving from outside, with respect and interest in following the development of one of the largest industries in the world.

He's a musician, so he makes game soundtracks

He recently produced the Metal Gear Solid background score for the Video Games Orchestra concert and their recently performed tour of China.

Composer, guitarist and pianist, Antonio Teoli chose the gaming area to showcase his talent.

Since 2002, he has participated in composing the soundtrack for more than 450 projects, including games for consoles, PC, mobile, VR, AR, SEGA Mega Drive, Master-System, as well as soundtracks for documentaries and advertisements.

I'm going to highlight here the soundtrack of Taikodom, a futuristic game from the Brazilian Hoplon, which is where I met him and where he worked for more than 4 years, in Florianópolis.

More recently, Teoli led the audio department at Black River Studios, a company that produces mobile games, linked to

Samsung. Teoli lived in Manaus, also for more than 4 years, to be able to carry out his position.

From there, he decided to expand his horizons and moved to the United States, where he continues to work as a composer and sound designer for games.

Now living in Los Angeles, he is working on the sound design of two indie games, developed in Brazil, Skull Jones and Gunstars by Monomyto, as well as projects that he cannot yet give details about, but including two games for the Oculus Rift and PSVR and a AAA for consoles to be released in 2021.

Teoli has also always maintained his love of teaching and in addition to his work as a game audio creator, he is the founder and teacher of Game Audio School, a school created with the purpose of spreading knowledge of the game audio industry to people who dream of joining in the industry.

Tip for Those Who Want to Work with Games and eSports

Persistence!

Many dream of working in this incredible industry, but not everyone can handle the challenges of getting that dream game to sound.

Don't give up! Stay firm in your dream, study to be the best version of yourself, interact with people in the industry and never be shy about showing your work. Progress is part of any adventurous life of an artist, be it visual or sound!

Persist and succeed!
