Between the Lines and the Figures of "Marmor"

Greetings, everyone!

An entertainment website is one that covers various areas with the intention of discussing everything and always having an audience for each topic—though these topics can be interconnected. Bring this to life and you’re looking at the concept of Marmor: a fantasy book, a melodic folk-metal CD, an RPG, and a comic book series encompassing the best of Celtic culture.

1 - What is the Marmor Project?

The Marmor Project is a multicultural endeavor that spans diverse areas, with the main ones being music and literature, accompanied by comics, RPGs, dance, and more. The project was developed over five years, starting in 2010, and involved renowned artists from various fields, including:

  • Marcelo Moreira - Drummer and Producer

  • Alexei Leão - Bassist and Producer

  • Antonio Teoli - Guitarist and Orchestrator

  • Gus Monsanto - Vocalist

  • Anna Phoebe - Violinist

  • Jonathan Faganello - Harpist

  • Paulo Schroeber - Guitarist (a dear friend who unfortunately passed away but left his final work on the project)

2 - Was a Universe Created to Integrate All Areas?

Yes, the Marmor Universe was designed to integrate all these areas in a harmonious and coherent way. Celtic culture serves as the main creative pillar, and music, literature, and dance are already part of the culture itself. However, the writer Eduardo Amaro managed to weave all these elements together, allowing us to work in the artistic fields.

3 - Was the Official Launch of the Book-CD at CCXP?

Yes, we launched it, and it was fantastic! We presented the project to a significant and very interested audience, and our host was Affonso Solano. To top it off, many of the artists involved in the project were there to sign copies.

A unique fact is that each artist lives in different parts of Brazil and some even in other countries. We also had live performances from Jonathan Faganello playing classical music arrangements on his harp and artist Gabriel Fox showcasing his talent with his detailed photorealistic drawings.

6 - What Can Fans of the Genre Expect?

Well, we could answer with the "naturally true but cliché" response: fans can expect great performances and wonderful products! However, we prefer to say that fans can expect an extremely sincere project, created from the sweat of many people who believed in it and dedicated an incalculable amount of time to convey the emotions involved. Truth and sincerity are rare these days, and that's what we aim to offer our fans.
